What is counselling?

My counselling approach offers a safe space for you to express your thoughts and feelings openly. It’s an opportunity to talk about what you choose to talk about to an unbiased, non-judgmental listener. Whether you’re dealing with specific issues or just feel generally unsettled, counselling helps you explore the underlying causes of these emotions and work through them.

How long does counselling take?

Sessions are typically 60 minutes long, and you can choose how often you’d like to meet. Some people find that a few sessions are enough to make progress, while others may benefit from longer-term support. We’ll regularly review your progress and decide together the best approach to continue your work.

How do I start the counselling process?

Getting started is simple. Just contact me by phone at 07970963738 or email at enquiries@roselandcounselling.co.uk should you have any questions. Within your first session we will begin by discussing your needs and what you’d like to achieve from counselling. This is also a chance for us to see if we’re a good fit to work together.

Is counselling confidential?

Confidentiality is paramount in counselling. You can speak freely knowing that what you share in sessions will stay private. There are very rare cases where confidentiality might need to be breached, but I will always discuss these situations with you beforehand. As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I follow strict ethical guidelines to ensure your privacy is protected.

How much does counselling cost and how long are the sessions?

Each session is £45 and lasts 60 minutes. Payment is required prior to the session, either by BACS transfer or in cash/cheque on the day of your appointment. Sessions can be scheduled weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, based on what works best for you.

Sessions start and end promptly, ensuring that you receive the full time you’ve booked.
